Ehsan Rad, an architect, restorer, and vice president of the Yazd Province Restoration Association, said: “The world city of Yazd has been inscribed on the World Heritage List with the characteristic of a clay city. This city was constructed as an encyclopedia of structural and architectural elements, with clay brick as its fundamental component. In fact, the ancient inhabitants of Yazd were adept at working with soil and succeeded in crafting this valuable and magnificent texture with minimal environmental impact, amidst the desert and water scarcity. Therefore, Yazd can be introduced as the capital of soil architecture among the ACD member countries, serving as a hub for education, study, and promotion of techniques for constructing soil and clay structures for ACD member countries. The city of Yazd is poised to welcome scientific groups, universities, and research institutions interested in

the subject of soil and clay architecture. This platform exists in Yazd as the capital of the ACD member countries for exchanging insights on this topic.”
