Mohsen Haji Saeed, the head of the country’s tour guides society, stated that a meeting was held in Yazd with the presence of member countries of ECO and ACD, hosted by the governor, chamber of commerce, mayor, and tourism industry activists. He said: “We are pleased to announce that the ambassadors were very satisfied with the programs and had a good visit to the historic city of Yazd, exploring its cultural and historical assets.” He added: “Various potentials in cultural fields and exports were discussed during this summit. It was a turning point where different proposals were considered to establish a Schengen-like visa for Asian countries.” The official also mentioned that introducing attractive destinations in Asian countries was suggested. Additionally, it was proposed to establish a research center to identify and introduce tourist-friendly cities in the next ministerial meeting, which if implemented, could facilitate intra-continental travel for these countries.
